- Plank pose
The plank pose is an important part of sun salutations and vinyasa flows. Body should be straight, and arms vertical.
For endurance holds, the forearm plank is primarily a core exercise, while the straight arms plank engages shoulders, chest and even quadriceps.
There are many plank variations, with lifted arm, leg or both. You can also add challenge with having feet lifted compared to your hands.
Known as Adho Mukha Dandasana as well as Kumbhakasana.
