I bring Alternate nostril breathing or Anuloma viloma pranayama in padmasana with Gyan Mudra. I’ve learned that I should strive for having equally long inhalations and exhalations, and alternative nostril breathing is a great practice to accomplish that. Focusing on breathing resolves stress, and improves performance in both yoga and weight training. I use breathing as timing for most asanas, and every breath is an opportunity to deepen the stretch.
