The Bennu is an ancient Egyptian deity linked with the sun, creation, and rebirth. It may have been the inspiration for the phoenix in Greek mythology.
Arms are pointing back and upwards, requiring moderate shoulder flexibility. Legs are in a kneeling side lunge.
Common leg variations include having legs in goddess pose and diamond shape. The diamond shape variation can be performed on a Bosu ball for additional challenge.
