Eka Pada Koundinyasana 2 or Pose Dedicated to the Sage Koundinya II is sometimes referred as flying splits, so regular splits are good for warming up.
The best preparation for any Flying Asana is to activate Flightmode. I’m going to root my phone soon, to replace the flight mode icon with some yoga silhouette clipart and remove all bloatware that is there for planned obsolescence purpose. My device is mine, if the manufacturer or someone wants to utilize the cpu for perceived obsolescence, surveillance, render farms, bitcoin mining or anything else, they should offer me a written contract. Otherwise, root baby root 🙂 .
Caring about the earth is like respecting the boundaries of others. PoseDedicatedtotheSageKoundinyaII or EkaPadaKoundinyasana2 is one of my 2018 goal poses. Original goal was straight legs and a decent (ten seconds or better) hold time, and I’ve added later to make it both sides. Having nailed the hold time goal both sides and having legs almost straight, I’m gonna fine-tune the posture and maybe incorporate it in some cool flow.
The first asana that came to my mind here is EkaPadaKoundinyasana2. I think of this as an extension to lizard pose, a Flying Asana but very different to flying lizard.
