- Flying lizard pose
- Last challenge
- Alo Time For Fire
The pose can be executed with straight and bent leg, and is easier do to than other flying asanas, like flying crow, mayurasana, flying pigeon and grasshopper.
For additional challenge, use an unstable surface like a wobbly bench or Bosu (builds strong arms), bend the upward legs 90 degrees or more (for strong hamstrings) or extend it fully (tougher if you have tight hamstrings).
The Flying Lizard Pose does not have an official unique Sanskrit designation, and is known as Uttana Prasithasana, which is the same as regular Lizard Pose. This roughly means ”stretch out back of body”.
