Standing pigeon

A good hip opener and standing balance. Gaze in front of you. Commonly used with hands in anjali mudra.

For additional challenge, try to squat down to one leg tip toe balance.

How to do Standing pigeon

  1. Warm up with hip openers, pigeons and lizards in particular
  2. Lift up your leg and pull your forearms under it
  3. Lift up carefully as long you feel comfortable
  4. Put hands together in anjali mudra
  5. Gaze forward and strive to keep leg and upper body vertical
